We are looking for an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to take responsibility for the operation, governance, and continuous development of Miba's data and analytics platform, with a strong focus on Databricks and Unity Catalog.

What you can expect

Set up and configure Databricks workspaces
Manage data assets such as catalogs, schemas, and tables using Unity Catalog
Ensure the platform is secure, reliable, scalable, and available
Define and maintain platform standards, governance, and best practices
Help implement and improve the organization's Data Domain structure
Advise data scientists, analysts, and business users across Miba
Enable self-service data use within a governed framework
Organize onboarding, training, and user support
Monitor platform usage, performance, and availability
Improve platform efficiency, usability, and automation
Maintain clear technical documentation
Participate in Agile meetings and sprint planning
Collaborate with IT teams, architects, security specialists, and external partners

What makes you special

Experience with Microsoft Azure, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure DevOps
Proficiency in SQL, Python and PySpark
Solid knowledge of Databricks, Unity Catalog, and Terraform/IaC
Understanding of cloud security, governance, access management, networking, monitoring, and automation
Knowledge of Agile methods and experience in cross-functional teams
Structured, solution-oriented approach with excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to different audiences
Fluent in German and English

For this position we offer a minimum payment of 62,000 EUR /year, plus social benefits and possible bonuses. Especially qualified and experienced candidates will be offered overpay.
