Compliance Verification Engineer (m/f/d)
LOCATION: Gunskirchen • START: IMMEDIATELY
Your New Adventure
- Responsibility for compliance verification (substantiation) in the area of cybersecurity for the control system of ROTAX aircraft engines, based on applicable certification requirements (including CS-E Amendment 8).
- Establishment of a traceable and auditable cybersecurity compliance verification process, including QM documentation, policies, guidelines, checklists, as well as review and approval workflows.
- Review and assessment of engineering artefacts, such as security concepts, threat & risk analyses, requirements, test evidence, configuration and change baselines, etc.
- Definition of compliance strategies and means of compliance for the control system in close coordination with systems, hardware, and software engineering.
- Planning, execution, and documentation of RTCA/DO-160 compliance activities (e.g. environmental and EMC tests) in collaboration with internal and external test laboratories.
- Support of development teams (systems, software, hardware, test) to ensure the effective implementation of cybersecurity requirements within the regulatory framework.
Your Experience and Skills
- Completed technical degree (e.g. aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, systems engineering) or an equivalent qualification.
- Several years of experience in certification/airworthiness, Office of Airworthiness, systems engineering, or safety/cybersecurity engineering in a regulated environment.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity compliance verification, ideally with a focus on CS-E and control systems.
- Hands-on experience in reviewing engineering artefacts and in developing guidelines, checklists, and standards.
- Preferably experience with RTCA/DO-160 (planning, test execution, documentation) and cooperation with test laboratories.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills in German and English.
- Structured and quality-driven working style, with a high sense of responsibility, strong analytical skills, and assertiveness.
- Ideally, knowledge of relevant aviation standards, such as RTCA DO-326, DO-178C, DO-254, and the safety/cybersecurity co-engineering context.
