Job description

In your new role you will manage and lead the global system application engineering team for magnetic sensing solutions, a team that:

• Creates innovative system level sensing solutions in existing and new applications driven by car electrification and industry automation.
• Drives necessary pre-development activities to define and validate the new solutions with a holistic perspective, including the mechanical, thermal, electric, magnetic, software and interface aspects.
• Defines and builds early prototypes, demo boards and reference design on application level using state-of-the-art simulation and design tools.
• Enables design-in / win at application level also through direct customer interaction, focusing on automotive OEMs and system suppliers.
• Provides enhanced support to customers for Infineon solution offerings, such as system partitioning, trade-off analysis or system simulations. Develops the required collaterals to support go-to-market activities at system level.
• Establishes technical cooperation with internal partners for cross-selling activities at application level and with external partners for the development and industrialization of innovative system level solutions.

Profile

You are passionate about innovation, anticipate the technical key trends in the industry and are able to transform innovative ideas into business opportunities. You are a very good communicator and can establish long-lasting relationships and networks within our company and with your external key customers and partners.
You are best equipped for this task, if you have:

• A university degree (master/PhD) in engineering and/or physics
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in electrical engineering, preferably in sensing solutions and / or power electronics. Ideally experience in automotive electronics.
• Strong leadership capabilities and references
• Proven track record in customer communication and support
• Excellent English communication skills and good German skills as a plus

This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, employment group J (https://www.feei.at/leistungen/informations-service/mindestlohne-und-gehalter-2020). A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills.
