NPD Assembly Coordinator (m/f/d)
LOCATION: Gunskirchen • START: IMMEDIATELY
Your new adventure
As an NPD Coordinator, you will coordinate activities between R&D and the Assembly organization to ensure the successful execution of prototype assembly milestones. You will be responsible for the end-to-end coordination of prototype engine assembly, material and resource management, SAP transactions, and cross-functional alignment, ensuring production readiness, transparency, and structured follow-up throughout the New Product Development (NPD) phase.
- Coordinate prototype assembly activities, including assembly execution, quality, personnel, material management, and alignment with R&D.
- Act as the main point of contact for NPD projects from the assembly side.
- Ensure the smooth execution of all industrialization activities for new products in an international environment.
- Lead and coordinate the handshake process for the official handover to series production across multiple locations.
- Ensure production readiness by coordinating material availability, tools, and inspection standards with Procurement and Planning.
- Plan and coordinate project meetings (kick-offs, daily reviews, and close-out meetings).
- Ensure traceability of prototypes and inventory control of prototype materials.
- Create, maintain, and track action and follow-up lists.
- Monitor NPD milestones and KPIs and report progress to management.
- Support PFMEA activities and document deviations identified during assembly.
- Ensure compliance with 5S and health & safety standards in the assigned assembly areas.
Your skills and experiences
- University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in prototype assembly, manufacturing, or R&D project environments.
- Knowledge of internal combustion engines, gearboxes, and assembly methods.
- Experience with SAP and structured production processes is an advantage.
- Strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills.
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style.
- Innovative mindset with the ability to further develop assembly methods.
- Experience in international project management.

The minimum salary for this position is EUR 60.962,3 gross/year in accordance with the collective agreement for the metal industry.
