IT:U is a new technical university in Austria (Linz) dedicated to digital transformation, driven by interdisciplinary research and project-based learning to actively shape this transformation and advance it with a solution-oriented approach.

Join us as a

Data Analyst (f/m/d) *

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Perform data analysis (preprocessing and modelling) to answer business-critical questions and identify trends and anomalies

  • Support the definition of metrics and KPIs from the data perspective

  • Work with teams across the university and lead the development of dashboards, reports and automated analysis

  • Collaborate with data engineers and architects on requirements and design of the data lakehouse

  • Ensure data quality and maintain documentation

  • Design and implement a self-service analytics concept

Your strengths and skills:

  • A degree in Data Science, Business Intelligence & Analytics, Business Informatics or related fields

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, BI Expert or in a similar role

  • Strong Data Science skills with solid applied and theoretical knowledge of statistics and machine learning; additional experience with AI is a plus

  • Hands-on experience with BI/visualization tools, efficient querying and coding (SQL, Python), and skills in data engineering and and MLOps (e.g. Git, Docker)

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with cloud-based data solutions (e.g. data lakehouses)

  • English skills at a minimum level of C1 are required (German skills are beneficial)

  • Structured communication skills enabling clear interpretation of data; strong interpersonal and organizational skills; an analytical, problem solving and customer service mindset to deliver an exceptional service; ability to explain complex systems and engage effectively with researchers, students and employees
