As Senior Director, HR Hub Lead for Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) you are responsible for overseeing HR operations, governance, and strategic HR initiatives across Austria, Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Czechia, Romania, and Hungary. The role ensures consistent execution of HR policies and processes and supports organizational objectives across diverse markets. It also serves as a key member of the EMEA HR Leadership Team and acts as the Country HR Lead for Austria.

Your key Responsibilities

  1. Regional HR Leadership
  • Lead the CEE HR Hub and ensure the effective delivery of HR programs, processes, and standards across all supported countries.
  • Translate global HR strategy into regionally relevant plans and oversee their implementation.
  • Manage and develop Country Cluster HR Leaders and local HR teams.
  • Provide guidance to business leaders on workforce planning, talent priorities, and organizational development.
  1. HR Operations, Governance & Compliance
  • Oversee adherence to organizational policies, HR governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements across all CEE countries.
  • Ensure consistency of HR policies with appropriate local customization.
  • Strengthen HR reporting, analytics, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with shared services teams to improve HR service delivery.
  1. Culture, Engagement & Inclusion
  • Support regional initiatives related to culture, engagement, and inclusion.
  • Promote consistent HR practices and behaviors across a multicultural and matrixed environment.
  • Maintain strong working relationships across business and functional stakeholders.
  1. Country HR Lead - Austria

In the Austrian context, you will:

  • Advise and partner with Managing Directors on HR matters related to the Austrian legal entities.
  • Manage works council relationships and support effective labor relations.
  • Ensure compliance with Austrian labor law, local regulations, and GDPR requirements.
  • Oversee HR reporting, analytics, and proactive risk mitigation.

Your Qualifications

Education & Professional Background

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive HR leadership experience in international environments.
  • Proven success managing multi‑country HR operations, ideally in the CEE region.
  • Strong understanding of labor frameworks across CEE, including extensive experience with Austrian labor law and works councils.
  • Experience with organizational change, restructurings, and cross‑border HR initiatives.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed, multicultural environment.
  • Balanced approach to aligning global standards with local requirements.
  • High level of integrity, sound judgment, and professionalism in handling sensitive matters.
