This position reports to:

Division Head of Technology - Machine Automation (B&R)

Your Role & Responsibilities

As Global Product Group Manager for Controls, you will hold a strategically important position within our division where you are fully accountable for the business performance, strategic direction, and long-term market viability of the R&D Controls portfolio. The focus of this role is to ensure sustained profitability for our Product Group where disciplined investment decisions, a long-term business strategy that secures competitiveness and consistent return on investment are at focus.

You will work closely with a highly skilled and experienced team, leading the product group with clear financial ownership, clear market focus, and cross-functional leadership.

In this role, you'll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

The work model for the role is: onsite

  • Assume end-to-end business accountability for the product group, including profitability, budgeting, pricing strategy, cost discipline, and long-term margin development in close alignment with divisional leadership members.
  • Continue to implement and enable the long-term product group strategy, ensuring competitiveness and sustainable return on investment in a global market environment.
  • Enable the Product Group management team through inclusive and empowering leadership where you promote a culture in line with the company values with integrity and compliance.
  • Represent the Product Group at an executive level towards key customers, machine builders, and internal stakeholders, enhancing market positioning and long-term partnerships for our company.

What it takes to Run what runs the world

  • 10+ years of global leadership experience in a Product Group, Business Unit, divisional function, or comparable senior role.
  • Advanced education or University degree within a technical, business, or comparable field
  • Background global organizations of automation or industrial environments is beneficial
  • Experience with business accountability, including P&L ownership, financial steering, budgeting, and pricing.
  • Executive presence and proficient communication skills in English, comfortable engaging with senior customers and stakeholders globally.
  • Demonstrated strategic and commercial mindset with the ability to translate market dynamics into clear priorities and measurable KPIs.
  • Inclusive leadership style with a history of mentoring and further developing experienced and technically skilled teams.
  • Ability to guide Senior Product Management and R&D organizations without needing to be the primary technical authority.

The minimum compensation, in accordance with the electrical and electronics industry collective agreement, is 6 397.78 EUR monthly for a full-time position as of May 2025. But we would be happy to speak in person about your compensation package in relation to your qualifications and experience!
