Tasks

HOERBIGER Business Unit EET is a supplier of unique products in technology focused markets. EET - Engine Technology is one of the lead supplier for performance defining technology for reciprocating piston engines to diverse OEMs.

The Key Account Manager (KAM) Engines in Europe develops our customer network and maintains relationships with all OEMs within the European market and serves as the front-line representative for all Engine products. The role promotes and creates opportunities for optimum product penetration and actively seeks, promotes and champions new product development opportunities both with the customer and within the HOERBIGER organization.

In order to strengthen HOERBIGER EET as a lead supplier for Engine Technologies, the KAM Engines Europe will develop individual customer strategies and projects. With customer focus and excellent sales skills the KAM will increase our sales and market share substantially and enhance customer orientation within the organization and achieve growth and new product introduction targets for allocated customers.

  • Gain and maintain the trust of key technical, management and commercial contact persons with OEM customers
  • Scout, develop, manage and close opportunities for including both current and new HOERBIGER technology with our OEM customers
  • Drive feedback loop from Customer recommendations to Engineering and Product Development
  • Develop and maintain market expertise both on customers and competitors
  • Develop and implement Engine Technology Sales strategy at both individual account and regional level
  • Successfully perform price and contract negotiations
  • Support annual Budgeting and Long Range Planning processes

Requirements

The candidate is required to have solid knowledge of the industrial engine market and / or the automotive industry.

  • Excellent technical sales skills
  • 3 year of experience in Automotive Sales
  • Strong negotiation skills and good understanding of commercial contracts
  • Strong language skills (oral and written) in English and German
  • Basic understanding of electronics and mechanical engine systems, as well as diesel or spark ignited engine technology
  • Ability to provide hands-on customer assistance with engine products
