The opportunity
You want to actively be part of continuously improving our existing portfolio, creating new products and influence our product roadmap? As part of our Innovation team you have the opportunity to be part of the heart of Engineering and contribute to our Products` success with your Product Engineering experience.

Your Mission

  • You drive the product development cycle from continuous iterations through testing, industrialization, and in-market lifecycle management.

  • You act independently as the primary Engineering representative across numerous concurrent optimization and improvement projects.

  • You refine existing products and evolve components design ensuring all designs adhere to woom’s exceptionally high standards.

  • You utilize advanced engineering methods to validate designs, including; Tolerance stack analysis and bolted joint calculations, collision and wall thickness checks, scheme drawings of assembled parts, Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA).

  • You will partner closely with Industrial Design, Product Management, Commercialization, Supply Chain Management, Product Testing, and Compliance teams to integrate diverse perspectives.

  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define inputs for, review, and implement results from both virtual validation simulations and real-world testing and customer feedback.

Your skills

  • A proven track record in the bicycle or consumer goods industries is essential. A passionate, hands-on mentality – your readiness to 'get your hands dirty' with practical tasks – is also a big plus we value generally

  • Familiarity with (composite) plastic product engineering and Design For Manufacturing is an extra plus ;)

  • You have experience in working with and steering external engineers.

  • Excellent proficiency in SolidWorks (3D CAD) is an absolute must. Additionally, you should be well-versed in and keep up-to-date with Product Data Management tools.

  • Your self-motivation, independence and proactiveness drives you to find new ways, to solve problems and provides you new perspectives.

  • You are known to work independently on your own projects and
guiding different stakeholders or teams through the process.

  • You enjoy hands-on prototyping, but are equally comfortable creating complete 2D manufacturing drawings according to current standards.

  • You are fluent in English. German is a definite plus.
