Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• PCB Assembly: Perform PCB assembly using both manual SMD soldering as well as professional automated equipment including pick and place machines and reflow ovens
• Process Optimization: Support the setup, programming, and optimization of automated PCB assembly processes to ensure high efficiency
• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough PCB testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues
• Design Collaboration: Support the design and layout of PCBs using industry-standard tools to meet engineering requirements
• Automation Development: Develop and implement further automation solutions for lab processes to streamline operations
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of processes and results to ensure traceability and knowledge sharing

Type of employment: Temporary / min. 30 hours per week (flexible working hours from Monday to Friday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.)
Duration: min. 12 months

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Educational Background : Currently studying in the field of Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar discipline to provide a strong theoretical foundation
• Electronics Knowledge: Possess basic knowledge of electronics and PCB assembly principles to understand core technical concepts
• Soldering and Assembly: Demonstrate first experience or strong interest in manual SMD soldering as well as automated assembly processes including pick and place, reflow soldering, and SMT
• Design Tools: Have experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Eagle, Cadence, or similar software to support layout tasks
• Automation Interest: Show a genuine interest in automation and programming to contribute to process improvement initiatives
• Soft Skills: Exhibit strong organizational and communication skills to facilitate clear information exchange and task management
• Teamwork: Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team environment to achieve common project goals
• Language Skills: Possess fluent English language skills and German language skills as a plus

This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry (full-time), employment group B for bachelor students, employment group D for master students (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2025.pdf).
