Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

  • Data Analysis: Analyze and preprocess large-scale electrical data from production testing, experiments, and verification processes using statistical methods and machine learning techniques to derive insights and optimize workflows
  • Software Development: Develop and optimize software to support data processing and machine learning pipelines while maintaining scalability and automation
  • Documentation: Create and maintain clear, modular documentation for software and scripts using tools like Jupyter Notebooks, ensuring usability and reproducibility
  • Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate and share newly defined approaches in technical papers to foster innovation and knowledge exchange with peers
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional international teams, gaining exposure to diverse expertise and best practices

Type of employment: Temporary / Part-time or Full-time (flexible working hours from Monday to Friday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.)
Duration: min. 12 months

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

  • Education: You are a motivated and committed student, ideally pursuing a master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science & AI, or similar fields
  • Working Style: A self-driven working style and a strong interest in optimizing workflows using data
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python (experience with machine learning libraries preferred), and familiarity with R or MATLAB as a plus
  • Experience: Experience in data processing workflows, feature engineering, and training or evaluating ML models. A solid foundation in descriptive, inferential, predictive, and prescriptive statistics
  • Soft Skills: The ability to clearly communicate complex data science concepts in presentations or reports. Strong collaboration skills, with a passion for working in teams across different fields
  • Language Skills: Good communication skills in English (German is a plus)

This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry (full-time), employment group B for bachelor students, employment group D for master students (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2025.pdf).
