Job description

With this position you will be entering our „technical ladder": our career path for experts. You will be able to focus deeply on technology - while further pursuing your career. As you continually expand your expert knowledge, puzzle over matters and solve problems, you will position yourself as a thought leader - thus helping our products improve our world a bit more each day.

In your new job you will:

  • Act as technical leader by setting technical direction and taking ownership of technical decisions including the proactive advise of management and cross-functional partners
  • Closely collaborate and leverage on synergies with internal and external experts
  • Be a mentor and proactively drive best practice and know-how exchange
  • Closely participate in the development of new discrete and integrated power semiconductor product families based on gallium nitride:
  • Develop, calibrate, deploy and maintain physically predictive simulation decks for our power technologies
  • Utilize these decks to define optimum design of experiment (DoE) process splits
  • Develop test-chips for device and technology validation
  • Perform TCAD simulations to support the research and development of our next generation technologies

Profile

You act on trends and generate value by facilitating and encouraging innovative ideas. Your strong presentation and interpersonal skills enable an effective technical exchange across functions and facilitate decision-making processes up to top management level. You think analytically and results-oriented and demonstrate a structured, self-driven working style, even when under pressure. As true team player, you enjoy cooperating across boundaries and work perseveringly together on pushing ideas to their full implementation and application.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • A PhD in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, Microelectronics or comparable
  • 6+ years of professional experience in semiconductor device design
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Semiconductor Process & Device Physics with special emphasis on power devices (e.g. Trench MOSFETs, Superjunction devices, GaN HEMTs)
  • Proficiency with TCAD tools (Synopsis, Silvaco or similar) and familiarity with Layout tools (Cadence or similar)
  • Convincing presentation skills
  • Excellent English language skills, German skills or willingness to learn it as big plus

This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, employment group J (https://www.feei.at/leistungen/informations-service/mindestlohne-und-gehalter-2019). A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills.
