We are looking for an experienced engineer to build and scale reliable systems for our clients. At smaXtec, we develop a cloud-based health monitoring system that improves herd health using AI and smart algorithms. YOUR ROLE
Design and build robust backend systems using NestJS.
Architect scalable solutions using modern patterns in a cloud native environment (n-tier, microservices, event-driven, hexagonal).
Work with PostgreSQL and Redis, including query optimization and schema refactoring.
Integrate with Kafka for event streaming.
Develop and maintain GraphQL APIs (queries, mutations, subscriptions).
Tackle complex technical challenges with a strong problem-solving mindset.
WHAT YOU BRING
Technical education (HTL, Computer Science, Software Development) and at least 5 years of experience.
Solid experience with NestJS.
Advanced backend architecture knowledge.
Strong database expertise (PostgreSQL, Redis).
Deep understanding of GraphQL.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Bonus: Hands-on experience with Kafka, Experience with React and/or React Native frontend applications.

Transparent salary model (gross annual, full -time):
Junior: from € 42.000 gross per year
Advanced: from € 52.000 gross per year
