Program Manager (all genders) Incubation

In the Service Unit of Innovation Incubation Center TU Wien is offering a position as Program Manager (all genders) Incubation for 40 hours/week. The position is initially limited until 31st, October 2027. Expected start date: February 2026.

Tasks:

  • Operate, manage, and further develop the incubation programme, including planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Support Deeptech researchers and founder teams throughout the entire innovation journey - from ideation to acceleration, fundraising, and scale-up
  • Organise, facilitate, and ensure the quality of workshops, bootcamps, mentoring sessions, and coaching formats
  • Provide high-quality coaching and advisory support on business development, go-to-market strategies, and investor readiness
  • Monitor project progress and ensure milestone achievement within the incubation framework
  • Develop and implement an engagement strategy for the broader innovation community (startups, investors, corporates, mentors, advisors, domain experts)
  • Build, maintain, and expand a strong network of founders, sciencepreneurs, industry partners, investors, funding agencies, and academic institutions
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (research groups, Technology Transfer Office, Spinoff Factory) to advance TU Wien's entrepreneurial university mission
  • Manage allocated budgets, resources, and reporting to the Head of Department or Division
  • Organise events to foster collaboration, technology partnerships, and business development opportunities
  • Continuously improve programme content and processes by applying best practices, benchmarks, and market insights
  • Assess the impact of incubation support on spin-off performance and ecosystem development
  • Represent the incubator at professional events, community initiatives, and within relevant networks
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of new programmes, events, and workshop formats
  • Manage outreach and communication activities (website, newsletter, social media, PR, marketing materials)
  • Provide first-line advice for individuals interested in entrepreneurship and specialised guidance regarding TU Wien's services

Your profile:

  • University degree, preferably in business, and/or engineering
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in business development, innovation management, or startup consulting
  • Ideally, hands-on entrepreneurial or startup experience, with a solid understanding of the Austrian entrepreneurship ecosystem
  • Strong interest in emerging technologies, complex systems, and Deeptech innovation
  • Proven ability to design, facilitate, and manage workshops, mentoring, and incubation programmes
  • Excellent analytical, strategic, and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into actionable strategies
  • Strong organisational and project management abilities, including budgeting and reporting
  • High level of self-motivation, resilience, and a structured, goal-oriented working style
  • Excellent communication, moderation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Creative and critical thinker with a proactive, solution-focused mindset
  • Genuine enthusiasm for entrepreneurship and supporting researchers on their innovation journey
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Confident and empathetic communicator with strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Fluent in German and English (C1/C2 level, written and spoken)

Entry level salary is determined by the level IVA of the Austrian collective agreement for university staff. This is a minimum of currently EUR 3,390.30/month gross, 14 times/year for 40 hours/week. Relevant working experiences may increase the monthly income.
