STMicroelectronics Austria is increasing the Hardware Application Engineering team which is responsible for the Infrastructure NFC Readers. We are searching for a candidate (m/f/d) who will work on application development, customer support and system level validation of hardware components which includes RF performance evaluation, standard compliance testing and interoperability testing.
We prefer candidates with a hardware background in electronics. We are looking for young talents who recently graduated from TU, FH or HTL. Experience in the NFC industry is an advantage.

In this position you will have to expect the following main objectives and tasks:

Main Objectives & Tasks:

• Technical support interface for Marketing, Product Management, FAEs and customers, especially in the automotive area
• Writing application notes, white papers and preparing presentations
• Development of PCB designs including testing, characterization and validation
• Preparing RF measurements setups and methods based on automation
• Performance analysis of own and competitive products including evaluation reports
• Involvement on all technical aspects of products in production, and therefore, being an integral part of the definition and development of future products
• System level validation in the scope of the product development process
• Contribution to effort estimation and project planning
• Possible contribution to Industry Standards

Profile:

• Required education level: HTL, Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Interest in antenna- and matching circuit design in the HF frequency range
• Interested in testing, validation and characterization in an electronics lab
• Firmware and/or software development experience in C, C++ or scripting languages e.g. Python is a plus
• Self-starter, and self-sufficient in problem solving and accomplishment of tasks
• Interest in working in a multi-site, multi-cultural, international team
• Interest in working with customers, readiness to travel
• Fluent English language

Additional Information:

The Work location is Graz, Austria.

This position is subject to the collective agreement for metal trade employees, employment group IV.
A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills.
