For the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Fundamental and Human Rights (LBI-GMR), we are seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher/Senior Researcher to work 20 to 30 hours per week within the context of the project “Externalisation and Rightlessness” (https://gmr.lbg.ac.at/externalization-and-rightlessness/?lang=en), funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF). The role, to be filled as soon as possible, will be based in the institute’s Asylum and Migration programme line.

- Generate new insights into the structural and conceptual foundations of international refugee law
- Research externalisation arrangements globally
- Publish in leading journals and participate in scientific conferences
- Draft proposals for future research projects
- Contribute to the planning and organisation of workshops and conferences for international experts
What you have to offer
- Research experience and publications in international refugee law, in particular on the project focus of externalisation and rightlessness
- The desire to learn, share insights, and cooperate
- Excellent command of English; German is an asset
- Completed PhD degree

Salary
The advertised position has a fixed term that ends on November 30, 2028. The envisaged gross monthly salary is EUR 4,962 (full-time/all-in).
Overtime
Any accrued overtime is compensated in the form of time off.
