We are looking for a Senior Governance Manager to join us on a fixed-term basis to support a key governance initiative. This project-based role will focus on strengthening internal control frameworks across the Group and enabling local compliance teams to independently maintain robust governance structures.
Working closely with local compliance managers and MLROs across subsidiaries, the role will design practical governance tools, embed standardized processes, and support local teams in building sustainable compliance capabilities. The objective is that, by the end of the assignment, each subsidiary compliance function can independently operate and maintain its internal control framework with limited central oversight.
Your tasks
- Design and implement a structured internal control framework across the Group's subsidiaries in collaboration with local compliance teams and MLROs
- Develop standardized governance tools, templates, and processes that enable local teams to carry out proactive compliance checks independently
- Support subsidiaries in adopting and operationalizing the framework, building their capability to sustain it autonomously
- Conduct risk-based governance reviews across subsidiaries to assess the effectiveness of local compliance controls, policies, and procedures
- Identify control gaps and governance weaknesses, providing clear and actionable recommendations for improvement
- Support the establishment and improvement of incident and breach management frameworks across the Group
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of Group-wide governance standards, policies, and compliance methodologies
- Collaborate with Group functions and local management to ensure governance expectations are clearly understood and embedded in operational processes
- Develop governance reporting and documentation to provide transparent insights on the state of controls across the Group
- Document processes, frameworks, and learnings thoroughly and prepare a comprehensive handover package
Your profile
- University degree in Law, Compliance, Business, or a related field
- Several years of experience in compliance, governance, internal controls, or risk management, ideally within a regulated industry
- Strong understanding of internal control frameworks, governance structures, and second-line compliance functions
- Experience working with cross-functional and international stakeholders in complex organisational environments
- Proven ability to design and implement structured frameworks, processes, and governance methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex topics into practical solutions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across different levels of the organisation
- Structured, pragmatic, and delivery-focused working style with strong documentation capabilities
- Fluent in English
