Senior Product Manager for IoT Connectivity (m/f/d)

Purpose of the Role:

As Senior Product Manager for IoT Connectivity you will be part of the Vertical Markets team and responsible for the solution lifecycle management of our Managed Connectivity Offering. This includes scope, development and management of solutions, as well as defining Roadmaps and incident handling. Furthermore, this includes commercial topics like businesses cases, marketing and legal topics as well as enablement and support in the sales process.

The Product Manager will be working in a small team with flat hierarchies and closely interlinked to our team of consultants, solution architects, platform engineers and service delivery teams to create solutions and services that keep us at the leading edge of technology and ahead of the competition.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and continuously improve our propositions for our IoT Connectivity Solution based on in-depth market and technology analysis:

  • Lead our IoT Connectivity Solution Offering
  • Define scope and functionalities of new offerings and technologies (e.g. 5G) and develop a Roadmap
  • Coordinate technology and wholesale department to implement defined Roadmap
  • Define features of the IoT Connectivity Platform to implement defined Roadmap
  • Build up a profound knowledge on market and target groups and positioning of our solutions in the competitive landscape
  • Develop business plans, including pricing frameworks and business case templates as well as legal set-up and contract management
  • Set-up professional enablement and sales material for sales teams, making sure to translate technical features into unique selling points and support during sales phases
  • Prepare and hold trainings for different levels of knowledge (e.g. Sales, expert Sales, customers)
  • Plan and coordinate initiatives for structured demand generation using online and offline communication and lead generation campaigns in alignment with the marketing department
  • Manage external vendors and internal stakeholders

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant university degree (or adequate professional experience) - technical and/or business background
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in product management, preferably within Connectivity/ Telecommunication Area
  • Proven track record in product management and understanding of technology in M2M/IoT Connectivity
  • Ability to abstract complex technical and commercial information and transform these into easy-to-understand propositions for sales and customers
  • Broad interdisciplinary know-how on business topics and market understanding - preferable in one or many of our focus industries (transportation, utilities, construction, waste, manufacturing, retail)
  • Fluency in English and German is required

  • Possess the ability to think in value propositions and to analyse and design multi-sided business models
  • Eagerness and curiosity to develop new business models based on platform economies and ecosystems
  • Ability to understand and mediate between customer needs and engineering capabilities

Our performance-based-salary models reward extraordinary commitment and success. The minimum annual gross salary according to the collective agreement of Telekom Austria AG is EUR 55.000,00. The actual annual salary depends on your skills and experience.
