Specialist - Digitalization / Smart Factory (f/m/d)

Your future responsibilities

  • Management of requirements and processes, design of technical/functional concepts for the newly planned clean room facility of Silicon Austria Labs.
  • Analysis and implementation of digitalization projects for a state-of-the-art clean room facility (Smart Factory) in cooperation with all research divisions and IT department.
  • Support, optimization and modernization of existing IT solutions of Industry 4.0 IT/OT solutions (e.g., MES, IIoT, CMMS, Quality SW, OEE, etc.).
  • Implementation of modern technologies for digitalization (IT/OT convergence) for holistic smart factory solutions for our production plant.
  • Collaboration with shop floor engineers on digitization initiatives with a focus on SEMI standards and machine protocols (OPC-UA and GEM).
  • Definition of software developments requirements for applications in the cleanroom in cooperation with the cleanroom team.
  • Manage communications to eventual external providers.
  • IT operations tasks and planning integration of IT and OT systems.
  • Ensure internal IT standards, policies and security rules are in place for industrial applications and equipment.
  • Conduct workshops/training, create IT system documentation, and ensure compliance with IT security and quality standards.

Your profile

  • Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Physics, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience
  • Experience in digitization and/or Industry 4.0 technologies (MES, CMMS, Quality SW, work instruction SW, OEE, etc.).
  • Know-how about microelectronics fabrication and process flows is a big plus
  • Good understanding of IT management principles and technical IT skills (network, cybersecurity).
  • Data visualization and dashboarding skills (Logstash Kibana, PowerBI, etc.) are a plus
  • Autonomous, well organized and enjoy working in a dynamic and multicultural team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

Important Facts about SAL

  • Experience in digitization and/or Industry 4.0 technologies (MES, CMMS, Quality SW, work instruction SW, OEE, etc.).
  • Good understanding of IT management principles and technical IT skills (network, cybersecurity).
  • Know-how about microelectronics fabrication and process flows is a big plus.
  • Programming and scripting skills (C#, Python, SQL) are a plus.
  • Database/data management skills, data visualization and dashboarding skills (Logstash Kibana, PowerBI, etc.) are a plus.
  • Autonomous, well organized and enjoy working in a dynamic and multicultural team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for employees in non-university research (Research CA) starting in occupational group E (E1 salary = EUR 3520, paid 14 times a year) based on 38,5 hours per week). For this position we offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your experience and qualifications, starting with a minimum salary of EUR 55.000 (annual, based on an All-in contract and bonus).
