Job description

This position is a vital part of our Firmware team based in Graz. Your skills and experience will contribute to develop secure boot software and embedded software components for Infineon's Smart Card Controllers. All this in close cooperation with Hardware Design, Application Engineering and other firmware groups within Infineon.

With our profound programming skills, strong knowledge in embedded processor architecture and system understanding we also support the hardware design teams during silicon evaluation and Application Engineering once the design has been released to customers.

We are an innovative multinational global team and live an agile work model in SCRUM teams.

In your new job duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Embedded software development for secure system-on-chip components
  • Verification based on hardware simulation and emulation with focus on automation
  • Create associated specification and documentation

You are best equipped for this job with the following skills and experience:

  • Master or Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Sciences or similar
  • Excellent programming skills in C
  • Up to 5 years of experience in embedded software development
  • Skills and experience in software verification, agile development methods and/or test automation are a plus
  • Solid knowledge in Python, additional skills in C++ and/or Java, basics in secure coding and Common Criteria EAL1-7 are of advantage
  • Fluency in English

This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, employment group G (https://www.feei.at/leistungen/informations-service/mindestlohne-und-gehalter-2019). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills. Furthermore, Infineon offers attractive employee benefits.
