About the Role
Architect and develop secure embedded operating systems for high-security smartcard controllers
Define JavaCard-based OS architecture, security concepts, and software components for smartcard platforms
Work with state-of-the-art microcontrollers, modern IDEs, and industry-leading development frameworks
Design and implement security-critical functionality, including authentication mechanism, cryptographic services, and secure data management
Develop, integrate and support smartcard applications and applets
Collaborate with leading global technology partners
Support teams in integrating AI-assisted tools into secure development workflows e.g. code review, secure coding verification
Provide technical guidance throughout the software lifecycle
Your Profile
Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (University or University of Applied Sciences)
Profound experience in smartcard OS and embedded security development
Solid knowledge of smartcard-related standards and protocols such as GlobalPlatform & JavaCard
Experience using AI-based tools for software development and design
Hands-on experience with tools such as Eclipse or Keil
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset as well as an independent, structured working style
Familiarity with version control systems e.g. Git or SVN is an advantage
Excellent English communication skills (German is a plus)

Salary
We offer for this position a package starting at € 60.000,- gross per year on a full-time basis. Depending on qualifications and professional experience a market-oriented overpayment is intended.
