Using artificial intelligence and machine vision, we provide crews on boats and ships with the most accurate digital understanding of a vessel ‘s near-field surface surroundings. We make marine mobility safer and more convenient, providing a better mobility experience at sea.

We are a multi-national team based in Austria, France, Portugal and the US. We offer a fast and agile workplace for experts from a variety of disciplines. We share a common culture shaped by ambition, autonomy, openness, honesty, and respect. As a fast-growing team of ~60 colleagues, we are large enough to create impact. We are also small enough that each team member has an influence on the way we work. For our headquarter in Linz, we are looking for a Quality Engineer, with an electronics/hardware background (30,0-38,5 h/week).

Responsibilities

  • Implement, maintain, and continuously improve ISO 9001-based quality processes across production and engineering.
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure quality controls are effective, documented, and consistently followed.
  • Monitor product and process performance, identify quality trends, and propose corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with the hardware development team to design, plan, and execute tests focused on improving product reliability, durability, and environmental robustness.
  • Develop and run reliability and environmental stress tests (e.g., vibration, temperature, endurance, waterproofing) relevant to maritime applications.
  • Create clear and concise test procedures, reports, and quality documentation.
  • Support root cause investigations, guiding teams toward long-term fixes, and systematic improvements.
  • Drive a culture of quality by acting as a hands-on partner to production, engineering, and operations.
  • Independently manage priorities, tasks, and follow-up actions.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Degree in engineering (mechanical, electronics, mechatronics, industrial engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with quality processes, production environments, or hardware testing.
  • Strong understanding of structured problem-solving and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently, proactively, and cross-functionally.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with engineering and production teams.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with ISO 9001 implementation or audits.
  • Familiarity with reliability engineering, environmental testing, or maritime/industrial hardware.
  • Exposure to FMEA, root cause analysis tools, or statistical quality methods.
  • Experience with documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira).

What we offer

  • Highly motivated, skilled, cooperative interdisciplinary and international team.
  • Opportunity to travel to our other offices incl. testing new developments on the company boat in Portugal.
  • Flexible policy for working time and occasionally home office.
  • Company-organized team building events including workshops, remote working in Europe, sailing trips and more.
  • Subsidies for motorboat/sailing license & Klimaticket.
