Job Description
Shape the Future of HR on a Global Scale
As Global HR Director, you will be the driving force behind our people strategy - building strong teams, fostering leadership, and shaping an inclusive, collaborative culture across all regions. This is your opportunity to make a lasting impact on a global organization that values innovation, collaboration, and growth.
In this role, you will take on full disciplinary and functional leadership responsibility for the global Doka HR organization. You will support Doka Senior Leadership in all HR-related matters and guide international HR teams across regions. You will work closely with Umdasch Group Global HR to ensure alignment between Group-wide direction and Doka-specific HR priorities, enabling consistent, value-driven execution throughout the organization.
What You Will Do
- Set the vision: Help develop and translate the Global Group HR Strategy into the Doka organization to support business goals and drive organizational success, guided by our principles. Assure that strategic HR priorities of Doka are reflected in Global Group HR Strategy.
- Partner with leadership: Advise Senior Executives on strategic as well as operational HR matters and enable change management initiatives.
- Lead globally: Collaborate with international HR teams and Senior Leadership to align operational HR with strategic objectives; Inspire and develop the local and international HR teams, ensuring top talent acquisition and capability building worldwide.
- Transform HR: Optimize global processes, policies, and standards for consistency and excellence, supported by structured problem-solving as a core competence.
- Drive strategic initiatives: Oversee the execution of Talent Management, Leadership Development, Succession Planning, Performance Management, and Employer Branding initiatives at a global level in line with the Group Strategy.
- Plan for the future: Lead workforce and organizational planning to support long-term growth.
- Champion culture: Foster an inclusive, positive work environment and ensure compliance with global labor standards.
Qualifications
What You Bring
- Degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field.
- Proven track record: At least 10 years in strategic and operational HR leadership within an international industrial setting, ideally at various international locations.
- Expertise in modern HR tools: Experience in global structures and transformation processes.
- Strong leadership: Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
- Strategic, agile, and solution-oriented approach with the ability to foster a holistic performance mindset across the organization.
- High intercultural competence: Experience managing global teams and recognizing the value of diversity as a driver of performance.
- Industry background: HR experience in production environments or industrial manufacturing settings.
- Austrian experience: Professional experience in Austria, including strong knowledge of Austrian labor law and cultural frameworks.
- Works council experience: Experience collaborating with works councils at both strategic and operational levels.
- Language skills: Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus.

A salary in line with the market is offered for this position, which is based on the specific qualification and adequate professional experience.
We are required by law to state a minimum salary. The minimum annual gross salary for this position is EUR 70,964 according to the collective agreement (woodworking industry).
