Communications and Digital Marketing Manager

Swandoo is a young and rising startup in the child safety, and family industry. Our first product, Albert, has become an icon with 2 major design awards and coming up as a test winner, best of the year and overall 3rd best in history, in the consumer testing carried by Stiftung Warentest, ADAC and ÖAMTC.
Our aim at Swandoo is to be a supportive companion on the path to a more balanced and joyful family lifestyle, with our digital marketing plan being pivotal to this.
As a small team, our objective is to accelerate growth (Yayyyy!) in a highly competitive environment dominated by traditional -and boring- players (Boooo!). To meet the challenges of growth and take Swandoo to new levels, we are looking for a bombastic Marketing Manager. An accomplished marketer with a love for digital. This person can be coming either from an agency, or the client-side, but should have experience in the full marketing mix, particularly focusing on digital strategy and its execution.


You will actively help to communicate our company values and establish Swandoo as a premium brand. For this, you will own the marketing strategies for B2C (with a digital focus) and B2B (enabling retailer and distributor activation).
You will be responsible for monitoring and the guardianship of the overall marketing budget.
You will be responsible for the digital strategy, as well as the execution in search and social ads.
You will be responsible for key content strategy across blog, product descriptions and press releases.
You will do the monthly planning and reporting on all marketing output.
You will also develop and manage all campaigns, from product launches to brand awareness drives.
You will provide guardianship and management of the wider marketing team within our offices in Vienna and Suzhou, China.
You will have influence across all customer touchpoints including customer service, website experience and referral strategy.
You will drive offline developments in POS, print, and event activations.


  • Is a "people" person with strong empathy and family values.
  • Must be a self-driven and resourceful problem solver.
  • Must be comfortable working within a multi-cultural progressive startup.
  • Has a background in full budget management, including B2C, B2B elements.
  • Is very creative, and has strong campaign management experience.
  • Must be adept in reporting and analytics - including Search, Social Ads, Website Analytics, with the ability to implement positive change from the insights.
  • Must have excellent copywriting skills both in English, and German.
  • Has a high standard for everything… but to be more specific, should be an ace in written and spoken communication skills - English and German are essential. Klasse!
  • Experience with newsletter campaigning is a plus.
  • Graphic Design experience, or experience working with a design team is a plus.

The position is full time (based in Vienna) and begins immediately. The role reports directly to our Chief Designer and Global Sales Director.
