We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Biodiversity Specialist & ESG Coordinator to join our international Sustainability team. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or early-career professional who would like to gain practical experience alongside their studies while contributing to meaningful ESG and biodiversity initiatives in a global company.
This position is a part-time role (24 hours per week) and is offered as a one and half -year fixed-term maternity leave replacement.
Your Tasks
- Support the planning and implementation of biodiversity and sustainability initiatives across the organization.
- Contribute to ESG projects and help monitor environmental developments, trends, and performance indicators.
- Collect, analyze, and report ESG and non-financial KPI data for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing sustainability reports, presentations, and communication materials.
- Support the coordination of stakeholder engagement activities, including collaboration with local communities, business partners, NGOs, and other external organizations.
- Help organize community outreach activities, internal events, site visits, fairs, and other initiatives that strengthen the company's positive environmental and social impact.
- Build and maintain relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Support cross-functional sustainability projects and collaborate with business leaders on biodiversity and community-related initiatives.
- Monitor regulatory developments and emerging sustainability and biodiversity trends and contribute to their implementation within the business.
- Support the Corporate Sustainability Program Project Management.
Your Profile
- Ongoing university studies in Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, Ecology, Biology, Consulting, or a comparable field.
- Initial professional experience through internships or student positions in sustainability, consulting, ESG, environmental management, or a related area is desirable.
- Passion for biodiversity, sustainability, and environmental trends.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills. German language would be considered an advantage.
- Excellent communication and writing skills with the ability to prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and communication materials.
- Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint.
- GIS-knowledge preferred (QGIS or ArcGIS).
- A structured, proactive, and analytical working style with a hands-on mentality.
- Experience in project management, ESG reporting or data analysis would be considered an advantage.
- Willing and able to travel (Europe).
