Senior Product Manager (f/m/d) - Energy Solutions

Purpose of the Role:

As Product Manager for Energy Solutions, you will be part of the Vertical Market Solutions team and own the end-to-end lifecycle of solution offerings. This includes energy monitoring/transparency, energy optimization, emergency infrastructure monitoring, and BESS, as well as use cases for balancing (ancillary services) markets and peak shaving. You will coordinate external partners and internal stakeholders, govern communication, joint roadmaps, integrations and operations, and drive commercial topics such as business cases, pricing, marketing, as well as sales enablement, legal/contractual set-up and contract closing.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and continuously improve our propositions for our digital business solutions based on in-depth market and technology analysis:

  • Define scope and functionalities of our Energy Solutions portfolio for energy monitoring/transparency, energy optimization, BESS, and develop requirements (roadmaps) for our engineering teams as well as for solution partners and suppliers.
  • Oversee and coordinate external partners delivering solution components; align joint roadmaps and timelines and ensure internal stakeholder requirements are captured and addressed.
  • Develop business plans, including pricing frameworks and business case templates as well as legal set-up and contract management.
  • Furthermore, set-up professional enablement and sales material for sales teams, making sure to translate technical features into unique selling points
  • Plan and coordinate in alignment with the marketing department initiatives for structured demand generation using online and offline communication and lead generation campaigns
  • Sales support during pre-sales, offer generation, negotiation, contract closing and delivery
  • Project management support for big customer tenders
  • Build up a profound knowledge on market and target groups and positioning of our solutions in the competitive landscape
  • Implement and coordinate sales support, delivery and customer support procedures following a blue print that allows scalable operations of customized offerings.
  • Incorporate relevant standards and grid/market participation requirements (e.g., for balancing markets), data protection, and IT/OT cybersecurity considerations into product design and operations.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • University degree (or adequate professional experience) in energy management, electrical engineering or similar.
  • 3 - 5+ years of professional experience in product management, preferably within energy solutions, energy consulting or similar.
  • Proven track record in product development and scoping, product management and understanding of technology preferable in power monitoring, data collection & IoT.
  • Knowledge in SCRUM/Agile Work Methods
  • Ability to abstract complex technical and commercial information and transform these into easy-to-understand propositions for sales and customers.
  • Fluency in English and German required

Our performance-based-salary models reward extraordinary commitment and success. The minimum annual gross salary is EUR 55.300,00. The actual annual salary depends on your skills and experience.
