Arkeon (arkeon.bio) is a biotech scaleup that converts CO2 into protein ingredients. The company's approach is the only fermentation technology worldwide capable of producingall 20 proteinogenic amino acids. Using microbial gas fermentation and enzyme technology, Arkeon produces fully customizable mixtures of amino acids that can be used as highly functional ingredients. Your Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Grant Project Manager who leads our efforts in securing and managing third party financial resources to help our organization implement innovative projects through various grants. The Grant Project Manager plays a key role in managing existing grants, identifying national and international funding opportunities, as well as coordinating proposal writing. This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams at Arkeon.

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for the management of grant projects.
  • Taking a proactive role in the administration of funded projects.
  • Preparing reports for funding institutions.
  • Managing multiple projects and executing reports of the deliverables on time and within guidelines.
  • Organizing and having an overview of all the fundings received.
  • Identifying suitable funding programs, national and international (e.g. FFG, Vienna Business Agency, HORIZON 2020, EIC Accelerator etc.).
  • Organization, management and writing of project application in close cooperation with our scientific, technical and finance team as well as third parties.

Qualifications

  • To thrive and be happy in this role, we believe that you have the following qualifications and experience:
  • University degree, preferably with a scientific background (in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Engineering, or other science-related field).
  • Experience in grant managing/writing and in working with research institutions (universities and research centers). Having familiarity with Austrian funding agencies such as FFG, Vienna Business Agency, AWS,... is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in controlling, budgeting and financial reporting
  • Fluent in both English and German (oral and written).
  • Residing in Europe, preferably Vienna, Austria.
  • Proven ability to work independently and effectively plan and organize work activities and prioritize task completion to meet schedules and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional manner with diverse stakeholders.
  • Hands-on approach, willingness to be tenacious, dive into details to help support and improve projects.

The position is offered on a full-time, permanent basis (40 hours/week). The gross salary is according to the collective agreement 3.361,34EUR gross per month (Collective Agreement for Trade, Craft and Service Industries, Employees, job classification IV, 4 years experience).

Depending on prior experience and qualification, overpayment is possible.
