Tasks

• Lead Counsel for Region CEE (incl. Turkey) and Local Compliance Officer for TÜV SÜD Landesgesellschaft Österreich GmbH with a functional reporting line to our Global Headquarter in Munich
• Provide legal advice to the management and operational business in laws and regulations relevant for the TIC industry focusing on Industrial plants, Infrastructure projects and the Mobility sector (e.g. Contract, Commercial, Corporate Law)
• Draft, review and negotiate national and international customer contracts and other legally relevant documents and provide legal support in bidding procedures
• Provide and coordinate Legal support to TÜV SÜD companies within the CEE region, inter alia by liaising with outside legal counsel
• Draft and optimize guidelines and processes
• Implement the TÜV SÜD compliance management system in the company
• Work confidently and pragmatically in cross-functional and international projects
• Share legal knowledge and provide trainings for the management and operational business

Qualifications

• Fully qualified lawyer or equivalent
• About 10 years of experience in a law firm or as in-house legal within an international environment, ideally already in a managing function
• Interest to deep dive complex legal questions in a challenging and highly regulated environment
• First experience with and knowledge of compliance and/or willingness to familiarize with compliance
• Excellent leadership and organisational skills with the eye for strategic improvement. You have the talent to put first things first and remain focused in complex and cross-functional international projects. You are a great team-player with self-motivation as well as strong communication and negotiation skills
• High personal integrity
• Excellent command of written and spoken German and English and ideally a language spoken in the region (e.g. Czech or Turkish)
• International mindset, embraces and fosters diversity in an international work environment
• Profound knowledge of MS-office products
• Willingness to travel

The minimum annual gross salary according to collective agreement for this position starts at EUR 52.000,--. We offer a significant overpayment for appropriate professional experience and qualifications.
