About the role

Location: Austria - Vienna
Hours: Full-Time
Type of Contract: Permanent

We are currently looking for a Legal Counsel (m/f//d) located in our Head office in Vienna to provide high quality legal support to the global business services and chemicals and materials procurement team.
In this role you are responsible for:

  • Reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts within the day-to-day business of procurement, i.e. sale and purchase agreements, supply agreements, services agreements, consultancy contracts, etc.
  • Legal support in the management of claims, disputes and litigation
  • Updating/developing contract templates in cooperation with procurement
  • Holding regular legal/ contract negotiation trainings to procurement
  • Management of external lawyers
  • Acting as the business' legal sparring partner in all legal questions

About you

You are the right candidate for this role, if you have:

  • a Master's degree in Law and at least 5 years of experience, bar exam.
  • fluency and excellent contract drafting skills in English
  • excellent knowledge of international contract and commercial law
  • relevant experience in a renowned international law firm or legal department of a big international company
  • excellent communication and presentation skills
  • good understanding of technical and commercial issues, understanding of IPR topics is a plus, but not a must
  • strong negotiation-, project management- and conflict resolution- skills
  • a high problem solving competence and results-orientation, good business judgement
  • an ability to establish and maintain effective cross-organizational and cross cultural relationships, ability to manage stakeholder involvement
  • "Hands-on" personality bringing great sense of responsibility/reliability, high level of commitment, dedication and social intelligence
  • a high degree of independence, ability to take decisions following the guidance of the line manager and taking into account of business needs
  • Ability to take ownership for the dedicated area of support and for the development of best practices
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization, and follow internal procedures and guidelines

We offer a competitive compensation based on the collective labour agreement, reflecting your competencies and experience, starting at EUR 80.000 annual gross salary and are willing to pay more based on your experience and background. In addition, we offer a yearly bonus and a voluntary company pension plan.
