ANDRITZ is seeking a dynamic Process Control Engineer to support our entry into the P2X market. In this role you will be responsible to design plant control concepts for our green hydrogen and renewable fuel solutions.

We are looking for a professional with wealthy experience in process control engineering. Your deep understanding of designing plant solutions will play a crucial role for the success of our projects. This exciting opportunity is based in Vienna.

In your role, you will

  • Develop innovative plant control concepts for the complete lifecycle and all plant operation situtaions
  • Define the requirements for the control equipment
  • Align and jointly review the equipment selection for control equipment
  • Participating HAZOP and LOPA studies
  • Add control loop indications into piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Prepare process function descriptions, interlock descriptions and control loop drawings
  • Work closely with project management and disciplines such as piping, layout, static and rotating equipment, electrical and automation disciplines both in the proposal and engineering phase
  • Be the interface to the software engineers
  • Lead software FATs and SATs
  • Be part of the commissioning, start-up, and optimization team
  • Align and improve control strategies for R&D projects

In your personal skillset you have

  • Degree level qualification in an automation or process engineering discipline.
  • Minimum three years of experience as process control or I&C engineer, experience within the petrochemical gas industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge about control of gas systems.
  • Experience with PLC programming is a plus.
  • Ability to consult with customers and notified bodies about technical design requirements is expected.
  • Explain design solutions in an engaging manner
  • Strong communication, analytical and planning skills
  • Solution/team/customer oriented with the confidence to act pro-actively
  • Fluent in English. Another European language is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel for at least 5 days per month

In Austria we are legally obliged to announce at least a gross monthly salary of EUR 4.112,78 per month for this position.
Depending on qualifications and professional experience we offer you a market-based salary.
