As Branch Manager you will have full P&L responsibility of the branch and enjoy leading and developing our highly successful Linz Branch operations. It has a highly talented, professional and stable team that take a pride in delivering a first class customer service experience.

This is a highly pivotal role and we are seeking someone that can take the business onto its next level of achievement and development via your robust commercial strategic skills to further improve our results. What You Will Do:

  • P&L responsibility for the Linz operation and budget planning
  • Leadership and development of the team, including employee appraisals and performance management, you must be a true leader of people to succeed, setting clear goals, monitoring progress, and regularly evaluating team performance
  • Direct the overall operational planning for the operations teams in accordance and alignment with the branch strategy
  • Process review and continual improvement through KPS result. Compile and maintain SOP'S
  • Assist with commercial/sales initiatives to maximise branch profits
  • Integrating sustainability aspects into daily operations and projects to promote environmental and social responsibility
  • Monitoring and compliance with legal requirements and other relevant environmental requirements
  • Initiation, management and implementation of continuous improvement processes
  • Ensuring and complying with all statutory labor law requirements and implementing internal personnel guidelines (time recording, vacation planning, home/office regulations)
  • Ensuring all relevant HR processes (e.g. recruiting new employees in cooperation with HR, MAG, target agreements, personnel development, strategic personnel planning)

What You Can Offer:

  • Completed relevant education in the field of forwarding and logistics or economics several years of professional experience in a managerial position within the freight forwarding and logistics industry with a focus on air and/or sea freight or in a retail/industrial company with a focus on logistics
  • Very good business and entrepreneurial understanding
  • Written and spoken English language on contract negotiation level
  • Very good personnel management skills and several years of management experience
  • Reliability, ability to work in a team and structured way of working
  • Confident and competent appearance
  • Strong solution and result orientation & high sales affinity
  • Knowledge of lean management methodologies and several years of experience in application and implementation desirable
