webLyzard technology und Modul Technology bieten die Möglichkeit an internationaler Spitzenforschung in einem dynamischen und interdisziplinären Team mitzuarbeiten. Aktuell suchen wir engagierte wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiter*innen und Softwareentwickler*innen in den folgenden Bereichen: Wissensextraktion & -visualisierung, Semantische Suche & hochskalierbare Verarbeitung digitaler Inhalte.

Unsere Projekte werden durch die FFG und die Europäische Union (Horizon Europe) gefördert. Die Projekte liefern die Technologien für innovative Anwendungen wie die SDG Intelligence Plattform für das Umweltprogramm der Vereinten Nationen oder die Suchfunktion für das NOAA Climate.gov Portal. IHR PROFIL

• Ausbildung in Informatik oder anderen relevanten Studienrichtungen,
• Analytische Fähigkeiten und umfangreiche Programmiererfahrung
  (Java, Python oder JavaScript).

AUFGABEN UND EXPERTISE

in einem oder mehreren der folgenden Spezialgebiete:

• Elasticsearch und Datenbanksysteme wie PostgreSQL oder CockroachDB,
• Information Retrieval Grundlagen (Indexierung, Abfrageoptimierung usw.),
• Aufbau und Integration leistungsstarker REST-APIs,
• Optimierung der Systemarchitektur inkl. Load Balancing und Caching,
• DevOps Best Practices, CI/CD, Bash-Scripting; Qualitätssicherung und automatisiertes Testen,
• Containerisierung und Orchestrierung (Docker, Kubernetes), Elastic Stack.

Help us advance the state of the art in Knowledge Extraction and Visualization, Big Data and Scalable Information Retrieval.

Participate in a fast-paced and innovative R&D environment as part of a dynamic and interdisciplinary team. We build award-winning technology showcases (www.weblyzard.com/showcases) together with large international organizations such as the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Climate.gov team of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Collaborating with leading media and technology partners across Europe, many of our projects are supported by the European Union or the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (www.weblyzard.com/research).

YOUR PROFILE

• Education in computer science or other relevant fields of study,
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
• Extensive software development experience in Java, Python or JavaScript.

EXPERTISE AND TASKS

in one or more of the following areas of specialization:

• Optimize Elasticsearch and database systems such as PostgreSQL or CockroachDB,
• Develop information retrieval applications incl. indexing, query optimization, etc.,
• Build and integrate high-performance REST APIs,
• Optimize algorithms and develop load balancing and caching strategies,
• Apply DevOps best practices (CI/CD, bash scripting, quality assurance, automated testing, etc.),
• Plan and Deploy Docker Containers, Kubernetes Clusters and our Elastic Stack.
