With immediate effect, we are searching a highly motivated Lab Scientist with strong communication skills, who is an exceptional team-worker. This position will strengthen our multi-disciplinary research team focused on translational and biomarker-related aspects in drug development for cancer patients. It offers a unique possibility to work at the forefront of the development of novel targeted as well as immune-oncology based therapies.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Independent planning, coordination, implementation, analysis and documentation of in vitro and ex vivo experiments
  • Characterization of biomarkers for novel therapeutic approaches, supporting the development of novel cancer drugs with molecular and cellular biology expertise
  • Analysis of signalling networks in cancer cell with a focus on novel approaches aimed towards clinical implementation
  • Experience in cancer immunology-related techniques is an advantage
  • Close collaboration with colleagues from various functions, eps. histopathology and cell based assays
  • Training/supervision of students

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. molecular biology, genetics, cancer immunology)
  • Experience with independently planning, performing and documenting in vitro and ex vivo experiments
  • Experience with cell culture, protein and RNA analysis
  • Strong scientific interest incl. literature search etc.
  • Willingness to assume responsibility in a matrix in a global department

For this position we offer an interesting salary package considering your expertise and personal competencies as well as your professional experience. We are obliged by law to state the minimum salary according to the collective agreement, which amounts to EUR 37,016.14 gross per year (full-time) for this position, whereby an overpayment is possible.
