As Project Leader (f/m/d) Medical Software you will lead and manage complex medical software projects from the initial concept phase through development, validation, and final release. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring compliance with relevant medical standards, and acting as a key interface between software development, quality management, regulatory affairs, and external partners. Throughout the project, you will proactively identify and mitigate risks, provide transparent reporting to stakeholders, and ensure comprehensive documentation across the entire software lifecycle.

Your Tasks:

  • Lead and manage medical software projects from concept through development, validation, and release

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources

  • Ensure compliance with applicable medical device regulations and standards (e.g. IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971)

  • Act as the primary interface between software development, quality management, regulatory affairs, and external partners

  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies

  • Track project progress and report status to stakeholders and management

  • Ensure proper documentation throughout the entire software lifecycle

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field

  • Proven experience in managing software projects within the medical device or regulated environment

  • Solid understanding of medical software development lifecycles and regulatory requirements

  • Strong project management skills and experience with relevant methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid models)

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and external suppliers

  • Structured, goal-oriented, and reliable working style

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English

Salary

In Austria we are required to state the minimum pay. For this position, the annual compensation package starts at € 68.000. We will be pleased to discuss the appropriate effective salary based on your qualifications and experience.
