To strengthen our interdisciplinary Bachelor programme MultiMediaArt, we are looking for a lecturer with a strong visual voice and extensive professional experience in visual communication, creative direction and visual concept development.
The position involves teaching within a consecutive two-semester course sequence attended by students from Film, Audio, Communication Design, Animation and Game Design.

The courses form an interdisciplinary minor track that complements the students' primary specialisation ( Film/Audio/Animation/Communication Design). Students develop an individual visual language and learn how visual thinking can strengthen storytelling, communication and creative expression across media and technologies.
The focus is not on software training, but on visual authorship, creative vision and the development of a distinctive visual voice.
Topics may include:
• Visual thinking and visual communication
• Composition, colour, form and spatial design
• Visual systems and visual languages
• Perception, atmosphere and emotional impact
• Visual storytelling across media and disciplines
• Art Direction and Creative Direction
• Concept development and visual world-building
• Development of an individual visual voice
The language of instruction is English.
We are looking for applicants (m/f/x) with substantial professional experience in:
Art Direction / Creative Direction / Visual Design / Visual Arts / Related visual and creative disciplines / Visual Communication / Visual Design / Photography / Architecture / Exhibition and Spatial Design 7 Narrative Design / Related visual, spatial and creative disciplines
A relevant university degree and teaching experience are desirable. Outstanding professional achievements and substantial industry experience may compensate for formal requirements.

The employment will be in the form of a freelance contract (§ 4 Para. 2 ASVG).
External lecturers are employed under the following conditions:
1 semester hour = 14 teaching units of 45 minutes each
