In the Energy segment, OMV explores and produces oil and gas in the four core regions of Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, North Sea, and Asia-Pacific. Average daily production in 2022 amounted to 392 kboe/d. Its activities also include the Low Carbon Business as well as the entire gas business.

Our business

Your tasks

  • Act as the technical authority for Piping Engineering, overseeing end-of-life replacement strategies and routine maintenance, including capital investment projects, and ensuring compliance with established processes and workflows.
  • Execute and implement mid- and long-term availability and design strategy for Piping Engineering, aligning with relevant sites to enhance overall efficiency.
  • Support the conceptual design of strategic and technological orientations for Piping Engineering, contributing expert knowledge to the strategic planning and development of the department.
  • Execute common operational philosophy and harmonized processes, supporting their development and optimization, and contribute to the preparation of short-term, mid-term, and long-term plans for material and service contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with approved OPEX and CAPEX budgets in the area of responsibility, maintaining financial control.
  • Take responsibility for actively managing project deviation requests, making decisions in non-standard project tasks, and providing technical authority in projects related to Piping Engineering.
  • Contribute to networking with partners like Borealis and ADNOC Refining to develop common strategies, setups, and contracts, participating in expert networks for value generation.

Your profile

  • Master Degree/Diploma in technical studies, ideally in Mechanical Engineering or Welding Engineering.
  • At least 7 years of relevant work experience in Piping Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in the field of piping and know how in American and European design standards.
  • Know how in plant design, engineering, contractor management.
  • Awareness of PED and CE Conformity Process
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Fluent in English and German
