Your Opportunity
As Art Director, you will shape how the woom brand shows up visually across every channel, surface, and experience. You will lead visual creative development from concept to execution, champion our brand identity, and inspire a culture of design excellence within the global creative team.
In this role, you will partner closely with Marketing, Product Management, UX/UI, and Product Design to bring bold ideas to life across campaigns, packaging, digital experiences, and woom products themselves. Your Mission
- Visual Creative Development and Execution
- Ideate and execute clear visual direction aligned with global brand strategy for 360° consumer experiences (print, digital, experiential, motion).
- Champion brand visual identity, style guides and corporate design
- In close collaboration with product team, executes graphic design direction on woom products and packaging
- Hands-on design production and working alongside designers to produce assets
- Brand Strategy & Insights
- Weave narrative through visuals to elevate brand positioning and emotional storytelling
- Leverage audience data and industry trends to inform and refine creative decisions.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Communication
- Present and articulate design rationale persuasively to stakeholders, balancing creative integrity while remaining receptive to feedback.
- Collaborate seamlessly with marketing, product management, product design, copywriting, UX, and external agencies to deliver cohesive campaigns and unified consumer experiences across all touchpoints.
- Works very closely (dotted reporting line) with UX/UI Experience Designer to ensure the digital consumer experience expresses the brand and product art direction effectively
- Technical Proficiency & Quality Control
- Integrate AI tools responsibly into creative workflows to enhance ideation, efficiency, and personalization while maintaining brand integrity.
- Ensure accuracy in technical specs, typography, color consistency, and flawless deliverables.
- Team Leadership & Emotional Intelligence
- Challenge the creative status quo to elevate campaigns while ensuring efficiency and on‑time delivery.
- Mentor designers, foster a culture of excellence, and delegate tasks effectively.
- Provide timely, actionable feedback and navigate conflicts with empathy and resilience under tight deadlines.
- Cultivate a culture of trust, innovation, positivity
- Be a respectful sparring partner for head of creative
- Adaptability & Continuous Learning
- Stay abreast of emerging tools and design trends and integrate them to drive innovation.
- Embrace continuous improvement through regular post‑mortems and knowledge sharing.
- Co-lead and participate in regular creative inspiration sessions with the creative team
- Ethical & Inclusive Design
- Advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in all creative work, ensuring accessibility, cultural sensitivity and global resonance
Your Skills
- 5-7+ years of experience as an Art Director, Senior Designer, or similar creative leadership role, ideally in the lifestyle, sports, or consumer goods sector
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary design projects from concept to execution
- Expert command of Adobe Creative Suite and Figma; familiarity with motion and 3D tools is a plus
- Strong understanding of brand systems, storytelling, and visual strategy
- Skilled in mentoring creative teams and giving clear, actionable feedback
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to articulate creative rationale with confidence and empathy
- Experience integrating data, insights, and trends into creative decision-making
- Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed organization
- Fluent in English; German is a very strong plus
- Passion for design that moves people and for inspiring the next generation of riders.

Our working environment is flexible: in our cool office, you sit in the middle of the team for optimal exchange, but you also have enough space to work in peace and the possibility to use home office. With over 180 employees, it can be difficult to maintain the startup atmosphere, so we place a lot of emphasis on a friendly working atmosphere and extensive onboarding.
For this position, we offer you a minimum gross monthly salary starting at EUR 3.500 on a full-time basis. Of course, we take into account your individual qualifications and experience and are willing to pay an appropriate overpayment. We will be happy to discuss details in person.
