Job Description
Test Planning and Design:
- Develop and document detailed integration test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand integration requirements and define testing scope.
Test Execution:
- Execute integration tests, both manual and automated, to validate the interaction between different systems and components.
- Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies in the integration process.
Environment Setup:
- Set up and configure test environments that mirror production settings to ensure accurate testing conditions.
- Work with IT and DevOps teams to manage and maintain testing environments.
Issue Resolution:
- Investigate and diagnose integration issues, working closely with development teams to resolve them.
- Verify fixes and perform regression testing to ensure that resolved issues do not impact other functionalities.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test results.
- Generate and present detailed reports on integration test activities, including defect analysis and testing metrics.
Continuous Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and improve integration testing processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in integration testing.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in integration testing, preferably in a complex software environment.
- Strong understanding of integration testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Proficiency in using test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- Experience with automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Postman, SOAP UI) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical issues and solutions.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with API testing and familiarity with REST and SOAP protocols.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience with tools such as Jenkins, Git, or similar.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of data integration and ETL processes.
