In this internship, you will be instrumental in supporting the transition of a large-scale C++/Qt project to Azure Pipelines. This role encompasses a blend of development operations, cloud engineering, and software development, requiring a proactive individual passionate about streamlining development workflows, enhancing CI/CD processes, and leveraging cloud solutions to bolster productivity and efficiency.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Azure Pipelines for a C++/Qt project, encompassing compilation, testing, and deployment processes
• Integrate code quality and security scanning tools into Azure Pipelines to ensure high-quality codebases
• Automate repetitive development and deployment tasks, reducing manual overhead and promoting a culture of DevOps within the team
• Create and maintain documentation for Azure Pipelines setup, configurations, and best practices
• Work closely with development and operations teams to understand requirements and troubleshoot pipeline-related issues
• Support the adoption of Azure Pipelines by assisting in training sessions and creating instructional materials for developers
• Monitor the performance of CI/CD pipelines, identifying bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement
• Contribute ideas for pipeline enhancements, including the implementation of new features and the integration of additional Azure services
• Participate in regular meetings, providing updates on progress and insights on pipeline performance and efficiency

Skills Required

• Currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Familiarity with C++ and Qt is essential for understanding project specifics
• Experience with Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines or a strong willingness to learn
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts, version control (Git), and automated deployment practices
• Basic knowledge of cloud services, preferably Microsoft Azure, and their application to development operations
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with a knack for identifying and resolving bottlenecks in development processes
• Attention to detail, especially in scripting, pipeline configuration, and diagnostics
• Self-motivated to learn new tools and technologies and apply them to real-world scenarios

The minimum salary according to the IT collective agreement for this position is for the first six months EUR 1.539,- gross per month (14 times per year). Depending on the respective experience level and personal profile, we offer an attractive overpayment.
