We are looking for a hands-on and strategic leader to step into the role of Director of Delivery and Chief of Staff in the CIO Organization within group.one. This dual role involves not only overseeing delivery operations but also actively contributing to the project delivery process, with a focus on both long-term migration projects and initiatives supporting the organic growth of our business.

Director of Delivery and Chief of Staff

Your Responsibilities:

• The following areas form part of your role: Delivery Leadership, strategic planning, execution and priotization, chief of staff functions, opertational excellence, stakeholder management.
• You provide visionary leadership to a team of Heads of Development, fostering a collaborative and empowering environment for employees.
• Your experience in IT software development enables you to direct the team, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic objectives.
• You work closely with the Heads of Development, project managers, and other stakeholders to streamline project workflows, emphasizing a hands-on approach for long-term migration projects and growth initiatives.
• You facilitate communication and coordination across departments, ensuring hands-on collaboration and efficient decision-making.
• You develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve the effectiveness of delivery operations and project portfolio management.
• You represent the organization in interactions with other divisions, partners, andother stakeholders, emphasizing practical and hands-on insights.

Your Profile:

• Proven hands-on experience in a leadership role.
• Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with a hands-on ability to align operational activities with broader organizational goals and project portfolio priorities, spanning both migration and growth initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members and external stakeholders.
• Fluency in English, German nice to have.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire hands-on, cross-functional teams to achieve successful project outcomes.

Further Benefits:

The opportunity to join an international company in a fast moving business environment. The position is subject to the collective agreement (Kollektivvertrag Handel) and you can expect a minimum gross annual salary from EUR 80,000 gross per year. Actual compensation can be above this.
