The NEXTSENSE software team is looking for an experienced

EMBEDDED FIRMWARE DEVELOPER

in Graz to support the development of state of the art optical measurement devices for industrial applications. In this position you will be part of an interdisciplinary core team working on the next generation of our embedded product lines.You will draw from your previous experience in developing embedded firmware to contribute to the creation of products that help simplify our customer's daily duties under heavy conditions. YOUR BACKGROUND:

• Higher education in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telematics, SW Engineering (University degree or equivalent working experience)
• Experience in FW development for embedded devices, basic knowledge in electronic engineering is a plus
• Strong knowledge of Linux and its device-specific adoption to embedded devices (e.g.: Yocto distribution)
• Solid C/C++ programming skills, knowledge of Python is a plus
• Ability to analyse and debug complex embedded applications
• Open-minded team-player with excellent problem-solving skills
• Fluent in German and English

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implementation of hardware-near software for embedded devices in close cooperation with the HW and application SW teams
• Customization and maintenance of the embedded operating system and the build environment
• Definition of test concepts and implementation of relevant test cases covering both product development and production
• Analysis of system behaviour and performance in complex systems over the whole product lifecycle
• Documentation and quality management
