The European Academy of Neurology (EAN), the leading organisation for excellence in neurology in Europe and beyond, is seeking a full-time Communications & Stakeholder Relations Coordinator at the EAN Office in Vienna.

As a medical society, we promote excellence in the practice of general neurology throughout Europe, leading to improved patient care. Job Description

We are looking to hire a Communications & Stakeholder Relations Coordinator to join EANs Communications Department. This role will support the development and implementation of external communications strategies, with a particular focus on social media and engaging with key stakeholder groups, including patient representative groups. The officer will maintain EAN's relations with these groups and ensure a strong input from the stakeholder community within EAN's policy and communications strategy. The officer will support the EANs Communications Committee. The Communications & Stakeholder Relations Coordinator will be instrumental in supporting projects within the Brain Health Mission.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with EAN team, relevant committees, volunteers, and stakeholder groups to develop and implement effective communications and engagement plans.
  • Manage challenges as they arise and escalate to management where necessary.
  • Administration of EAN Communications Committee and support to stakeholder groups.
  • Managing the implementation of specific communications projects and campaigns involving several stakeholders, i.e., Committee, Other Departments, members, stakeholder groups, etc.
  • Managing events (both onsite and online) ensuring development of programmes and coordinating with stakeholder groups involved including EAN and Brain Health Mission events.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or similar field.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.

Additional skills/experience of Advantage

  • Experience with website CMS: Wordpress & Typo3.
  • Experience working with stakeholder groups, including patient advocacy groups, and understanding community needs.
  • Additional languages, especially German, are of advantage.
  • Takes initiative and ownership of tasks and projects
  • Enjoys working in a team but also independently where needed

Salary: Offering a starting gross monthly salary of EUR2,500 for a 40-hour work week, with the possibility of negotiation depending on your experience and qualifications.
