Bearing quality and related measuring competence is important and increases the competitiveness of SKF and our customers. QT (Quality Technology) is the Center of Excellence and development center for special measurement solutions, standardization and quality control of SKF end products.

We are now looking for a

Development Manager Quality Technology (m/f/d)

Key Responsibilities

  • The Development Manager QT has a strategic and leadership role enhancing our capabilities to shape a future where our technology lead to a more sustainable, efficient, and innovative tomorrow.
  • This position requires a combination of technical expertise and project management skills, and the ability to work across diverse teams and regions.
  • As Development manager QT you are part of the QT management team. You will lead a dedicated team of Software specialists and Competence owners working on technology innovation and automated measuring concepts.

In this role, you will

  • Define and develope future automatized inspection (e.g. optical inspection) and measurement technologies aligned with the overall business objectives
  • Drive the strategic development portfolio and capabilities of research and development on new Technologies on Measuring and Quality inspection technologies to keep SKF state of the art.
  • Collaborate with Universities and innovation centres for Technology-Scouting.
  • Drive innovation in our product development aligned with SKF's strategic Vision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience. A master's degree is preferable
  • Previous leadership roles in similar positions
  • High experience in Project Management and project leader in previous roles High experience in Project Management and project leader in previous roles
  • ln-depth interest and understanding of technologies and circular manufacturing principles
  • Self-motivated and persistent. Solution oriented way of working
  • Good networking and stakeholder management
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing

Some additional information
This position will be located in Steyr, Austria (on a local contract).

The minimum basic salary for the position is EUR 5,850.43 gross per month according to collective bargaining agreement of the metal industry. The amount of the overpayment depends on your individual professional experience and qualifications.
