We are looking for an experienced
Head of EU Regional Operations (m/w/d)
located in Vienna/AT.
The role
The Head of Regional Operations - EU leads is responsible for glove distribution across Europe, overseeing warehousing, inventory, logistics, and regulatory compliance. This senior leadership role ensures efficient, compliant operations, strong service levels, and alignment with business and growth objectives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end EU inbound and outbound operations across distribution centers and manufacturing sites.
- Ensure standardized processes, regulatory compliance, inventory accuracy, traceability, and recall readiness.
- Lead regional operations, order processing, and customer service teams to meet KPIs for service levels, cost, and efficiency.
- Manage inventory, demand forecasting, replenishment, and stock allocation with S&OP, sales, and procurement.
- Own relationships with 3PLs, transport providers, and vendors; optimize lead times, costs, and network design.
- Drive continuous improvement, digital enablement (WMS/ERP), and operational excellence.
- Manage budgets, control warehousing and logistics costs, and lead site expansions or start-ups.
- Develop talent, succession plans, and a culture of accountability, quality, and compliance.
Requirements
- Completed studies in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least 3-5 years in a senior regional or multi-country leadership role within the European Union.
- Proven experience managing EU distribution centers, warehousing, and cross-border logistics.
- Demonstrated experience leading order processing and customer service teams in a B2B environment.
- Expertise in inventory management, demand planning, and distribution cost optimization.
- Experience managing third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and cross-border transport within the EU.
- Hands-on experience with ERP.
- Solid understanding of order-to-cash, order-to-delivery, and customer service workflows.
- Fluent in English both verbal and written (at least C1), German is advantageous.
- Background in medical devices, PPE, healthcare supplies, pharmaceuticals, or other regulated distribution sectors is strongly preferred.
- Ability and willingness to adapt working-time to different time-zones (US, Asia).
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Results-driven, hands-on leadership style.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with detail-attention and commitment to compliance and quality.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, regulated, and changing environment.
- Willingness to travel frequently across EU locations.
