OMV's Fuels & Feedstock business produces and markets fuels as well as feedstock for the chemical industry, operates three refineries in Europe, and holds a 15% stake in a refining joint venture in the UAE. OMV operates around 1,700 filling stations in eight European countries. In the Energy segment, OMV explores and produces oil and gas in the four core regions of Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, North Sea, and Asia-Pacific. Average daily production in 2022 amounted to 392 kboe/d. Its activities also include the Low Carbon Business as well as the entire gas business.

Our business

Your tasks

  • Full technical and commercial responsibility for the projects delegated.
  • Definition of internal and external resource demand for the projects delegated and setting-up the project teams accordingly.
  • Leading of the project team(s) consisting of OMV-internal personnel and external/contracted team members.
  • Organize scope definition(s) and procurement activities for engineering, material and construction works, etc. including selection of contract type, tender, negotiations, award, execution and close-out.
  • Assure alignment, reporting and information flow to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Information of relevant stakeholders and initiation of countermeasures in case of anticipated deviations from the project objectives.
  • Addressing project risks by carrying out proactive risk management.
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the discipline "project management" in the organization.

Your profile

  • University Degree Master/Diploma in technical field or commercial with strong technical background.
  • Minimum of 9 years relevant working experience in project management and proven track record of executing technical projects.
  • Experience with leading small project teams.
  • Sound technical knowledge of processes in the energy business.
  • Excellent communicative skill and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Knowledge of ERP system, ideally SAP and project-management related education is an advantage (IGD level >=2 or 3).
  • High proficiency in German and fluent in English.
