DHL Air (Austria) GmbH is a new cargo airline founded in 2021 and is a subsidiary of DHL Group. The prime focus of the airline is to operate for the EU network with a fleet of Boeing 757 aircraft. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this role you will support CFO in all finance related topics and act as deputy during CFO's absence. You will ensure that the financial processes are conducted in accordance with corporate finance guidelines, legal framework, and accounting standards. You will provide management with financial and controlling support in decision-making process, monitor financial performance of the company and contribute to the achievement of the business objectives.

YOUR TASKS:

  • Coordinate month- and year-end closing activities and monthly reporting.
  • Work closely with Accounting Shared Service Center in LEJ to ensure compliance with IFRS, Austrian tax regulations and corporate accounting and reporting guidelines.
  • Prepare annual financial statements according to Austrian GAAP (UGB) and provide tax advisor with all necessary information for annual VAT/CIT returns.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial information to the local Board for the decision-making process.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local finance community (auditors, finance authorities, banks) and coordinate external/internal audits.
  • Prepare yearly Transfer Pricing Documentation.
  • Ensure strong internal control environment and coordinate regular self-assessments.
  • Evaluate and report financial risks and opportunities.
  • Keep up-to-date procedures & systems and drive continuous improvement of financial processes.
  • Develop reporting system for local management incl. financial and operational data.
  • Lead or support projects, incl. preparation of Business Cases and project reporting.
  • Support purchasing and contract management processes.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

Personal:

  • You are a team player.
  • You are able to prioritize your tasks in a structured and independent way.
  • You possess problem solving skills and remain calm in challenging situations.
  • You have very good communication and presentation skills.
  • You are detail- and customer oriented, providing high quality services.

Professional:

  • You have 5+ years' experience in accounting and controlling, including IFRS, UGB and general tax knowledge.
  • You are able to link financial & operational data, define improvement actions and drive performance.
  • You are fluent in English and German language.
  • Previous experience in aviation industry is of advantage.
