HR Manager Europe (m/f/d)

Maternity Leave Cover | Part-time, 30 hours per week | Vienna | Fixed-term for 12 months

The role

For the Vienna office, we are looking for an experienced HR professional who will act as the key HR partner for the European commercial teams, manage two HR Managers at the production sites and contribute to international HR projects.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and support the HR Managers at the Wimpassing and Sopron production sites
• Act as the escalation point for complex employee relations matters
• Work closely with senior managers and departments across Europe, providing end-to-end HR and people management support
• Serve as the main HR contact for white-collar employees across Austria, Hungary, the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Poland
• Manage the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to offboarding
• Coordinate annual HR processes, including performance management, salary reviews and bonus cycles
• Provide advice on Austrian labour law
• Lead the cooperation with the European Works Council
• Continuously improve HR processes and tools
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements, internal policies and evolving business needs
• Support the Global HR Business Partner in Singapore with international HR projects and process rollouts
• Provide backup for the HR Managers at the Wimpassing and Sopron sites when required

Your Profile

• Completed degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration with an HR focus or a comparable qualification
• At least five years of professional experience as an HR Manager, HR Business Partner or in a comparable HR position
• Experience in an international organisation, ideally within a multinational manufacturing or B2B environment
• Strong knowledge of Austrian labour law and payroll processes
• Experience working with blue-collar employees and production environments is an advantage
• Fluent German and English
• Excellent communication skills and empathy in a multicultural environment
• Resilient, adaptable and confident when handling sensitive employee matters
• Independent, pragmatic and solution-oriented working style
