Banking has a name. And we create it.
For over 10 million customers across Europe, George stands for a digital banking experience that combines design and technology on an open platform. At George Labs, we strive for everyone.
We achieve this by empowering people to understand, manage and, last but not least, enjoy one of their most personal things: their money.
Join us in our agile environment and make banking simple, intelligent, and personal!
We're looking for a driven, experienced AI Platform Designer to refine George's signature simplicity and create outstanding new user experiences with conversational interfaces and the power of AI. We are looking for a fresh mind to join us as we push new interfaces to deliver the best experience in everyday banking.
You will:
- Work in fast-moving, multidisciplinary product teams, collaborating closely with engineers, product managers, researchers, data scientists, and prompt engineers to ship great work. Your contributions impact the entire platform and an ever-growing customer base.
- Use your critical thinking skills to transform business requirements in meaningful conversations and user flows. Banking may be complex, but interacting with George should be delightful and easy.
- Design how users navigate our conversational AI interface and use a systematic approach to design a Generative UI component library.
- Stay in a constant alignment and feedback loop around conversation traces with our data scientists, prototype new visual components for the LLM model with our prompt engineers and discuss UX optimizations with our frontend engineers on the team.
What you'll bring with you:
- Proven hands-on experience in UX product design, ideally focused on conversational interfaces or complex interactive flows, supported by a portfolio showcasing your strongest projects.
- A deep interest in the dynamic and fast-evolving world of AI and large language models (LLMs). Bonus for practical experience in setting up agents and using LLMs to aid your workflow.
- Experience in creating and maintaining design systems or component libraries.
- A strong product mindset and a commitment to shaping experience from a UI/UX perspective, with a passion for quality, usability, and simplicity.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, along with a keen interest in language and UX writing. You're comfortable working closely with developers and prompt engineers across various locations within our group.
- An obsession over Visual Design Details and the ability to execute clean UI, typography and data visualisation to an exceptionally high standard.
- The ability to identify user challenges, propose thoughtful solutions, validate assumptions through testing, integrate feedback iteratively, and collaborate with engineers and data scientists to bring ideas to life.
- Expertise in the entire design process, from concept development to final handoff to the engineering team. You share our enthusiasm for creating user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing designs.
- A strong ability to articulate your values and opinions clearly and effectively in fluent English.
- A commitment to fostering a non-hierarchical culture built on collaboration, transparency, safety, and trust.
Why you will like us:
- New Work is not just another buzz word to us. We proactively adapt to the ever-changing work environment of today.
- We provide an encouraging, empathic, friendly, and professional environment, with all the hardware & software you need to work efficiently (e.g. MacBook, mobile device, licenses).
- Gain relevant experience working on one of the defining technology stacks of the decade by building an agentic finance platform on a state-of-the-art stack, at scale.
- Our attitude is open-minded, and we are always keen to stand up and go the extra mile for the correct solution.
- We care for your personal well-being and career development while actively supporting your educational needs.
- We guarantee a competitive and performance-related salary, dependent on your professional and personal qualifications. We are obliged by law to quote the minimum wage of EUR 55.356,-- gross per year for this full-time position.
