Global Category Manager Directs (m/f/x) | Vienna, AT

YOUR TASKS

• You develop and implement global sourcing strategies for your categories, directly contributing to improvements in TCO, EBIT, working capital, and supply security.
• You collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to secure and achieve margin and budget targets in customer projects.
• You understand business needs and act as a proactive, commercially driven and innovative partner across the global value chain.
• Together with international teams, you lead the supplier base strategy, drive the continuous development of suppliers in terms of quality, delivery performance, cost efficiency, and sustainability.
• You provide functional leadership to Global Category Buyers and regional sourcing teams while consistently acting from a global perspective.
• You foster innovation, align operations with state-of-the-art methods, and ensure the achievement of defined KPIs. You monitor and evaluate category performance, and identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures
• You carry out commercial and contract negotiations
• You make yearly category cost budget and carry out material price forecasting as per defined forecasting cycle.
• You stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities and technological advancements to provide recommendations or directions for category-related actions.
• You work as escalation window to manage supply issues and supplier escalations under your category

YOUR PROFILE

• At least 5 years of working experience in Purchasing
• University degree in business and/or engineering or similar education (e.g. HTL + purchasing experience)
• Ability to functionally leads colleagues in a matrix organization
• Very good supplier relationship management and supplier development skills
• Good SAP MM knowledge
• Good English skills

The salary package is based on your qualifications and professional experience and will be defined in a personal discussion. The minimum gross monthly salary for this position is EUR 3 888,53 - with willingness to overpay depending on the individual qualification profile.
