Make an impact at Mars
As a Supply Chain Manager, you are responsible for the entire flow of materials and goods, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and first-class customer service. At the heart of our operations, you'll work with the Plant Manager and cross-functional teams to make performance visible, set priorities and drive impactful improvements. You will challenge the status quo and translate strategy into measurable results. Furthermore, you will actively shape critical investment projects and, as a member of the Site Leadership Team, secure the performance and future viability of the entire site.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- You own the end-to-end supply chain flow (inbound → production → outbound) and make it run seamlessly.
- You ensure outstanding customer service while constantly improving cost and stock efficiency.
- You partner closely with the Plant Manager to drive operational excellence, safety and execution on site.
- You translate KPIs into clear priorities and use data to actively drive focus and performance.
- You connect the dots between Operations, Commercial and Customers to ensure flawless planning and execution.
- You lead and grow the Supply Chain team, building engagement, capability and accountability.
- You take charge of order management performance, eliminating inefficiencies, fines and penalties.
- You proactively drive continuous improvement and digitalization initiatives that move the site forward.
- You lead Supply Chain projects end-to-end - from idea to execution and measurable results.
- You manage key external partners and drive high performance standards.
- You represent the site in regional Supply Chain forums and actively shape the broader Supply Chain agenda.
- You support key site priorities such as sustainability, compliance and quality excellence.
- You actively promote smarter ways of working, driving standardization, innovation and reduction of obsolete stock.
What are we looking for?
- You hold a Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business or a related field.
- You bring 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics or Operations roles and have already stepped into people leadership.
- You are fluent in English and speak German (German is optional but advantageous), allowing you to collaborate effectively with local and international stakeholders
- You are passionate about customers and stakeholders and know how to build strong partnerships.
- You are highly data-driven and use KPIs to steer performance and drive decisions.
- You don't just spot problems - you take ownership and drive solutions.
- You thrive in collaboration, move easily across functions and regions, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- You are able to navigate complexity, prioritize effectively and stay focused even when multiple topics compete for attention.
- You communicate clearly and confidently across all levels and functions
- You have a pragmatic, hands-on mindset combined with a structured and solution-oriented way of working
- You are comfortable driving change and continuously improving ways of working rather than maintaining the status quo.
